(The Medal of Honor is the highest medal for combat bravery awarded by
the United States.
Two men from the 756th Tank Battalion were awarded the Medal of Honor.)
Distinguished

(The Distinguished Service Cross is awarded to members of the U.S. Army
and is the second highest medal awarded for combat bravery. The DSC is
awarded for extraordinary heroism that falls short of qualifying for the
Medal of Honor .
